Casual Gameplay/Jay Is Games has released their Best of Casual Gameplay 2008 awards, and my game “(I Fell In Love With) The Majesty of Colors” won the Audience Award for the Best Interactive Art or Webtoy (Browser) category! I got 15.9% of the popular vote, beating out such awesome games as “I Wish I Were the Moon” and Coil. Those two games shared the editors’ award for the same category, which was entirely deserved.
Other games in the awards that caught my eye:
- “Violet” won both the audience and editor awards for Best Interactive Fiction. I’ve gotten behind on my IF playing, and haven’t tried this one. It’s on my list, I swear!
- The stunning and still-incomplete Auditorium won both awards for Best Puzzle (Browser).
- World of Goo won both awards for Best Puzzle (Download), of course. It’s one of my best games for 2008 overall.
- Iji, which I wrote about for GameSetWatch, won the audience award and shared the editors’ award for Best Action (Freeware).
There are a lot of other awesome games in the awards. Check them out, and let me know in the comments here if you have any thoughts about the selections.
Dude, grats.
Congratulations!
I would congratulate you, but I think it is more important to keep you from growing complacent due to your internet fame. Thus, I will instead insult you for not winning outright.
Congrats!!!
Congratulations!
Yays! congratulations

This guyblade has the right idea! :D
But yeah. I’m glad to hear this. Out of the three you mentioned, Majesty was the one I most enjoyed. It’s interesting to find that the majority of voters felt the same way.
